Shops Open
After a $330 million renovation that took almost for years, Brookfield Place is now — mostly — open. There are few store stragglers, such as Vilebrequin and Calypso, and the garden district of marketplace Le District is still verboten, but a plethora of high-end retail and French goodies and fare awaits Battery Park City residents and workers inside the complex formerly known as the World Financial Center. Most everyone Downtown Express runs into says that it “great” and they are excited about the new offerings.
