ALTERNATE SIDE PARKING RULES REMAIN IN EFFECT ALL WEEK

Happy 2013, Lower Manhattanites!
If you’re planning to take the Brooklyn Bridge, remember all Manhattan-bound lanes will be closed overnight11 p.m. to 6 a.m.Wednesday and Thursday. Also, the bridge’s Ramp F (which allows access to Robert F. Wagner Place from Exit 2 off FDR Drive South) will be closed all weekend from 11 p.m. Friday to 6 a.m. Monday. However, this will not affect access to the bridge.

In the Financial District, you’ll want to avoid John St. because the construction on a new hotel closes the street between Broadway and Nassau Sts. intermittently between the hours of 7 a.m. and 6 p.m. weekdays. The intersection of Nassau and John Sts. is closed 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.

Starting Monday, construction taking place at the Fulton St. and Water St. intersection will close the west side of Fulton St. (near the Pearl St. intersection) all hours through Spring 2013. Construction on Fulton St. affects the following bus routes (which will be shifted towards Beekman St. for the next year starting Monday: M15, QM7, QM8, X8 and X14.

Construction on Chambers St. closes the street between Greenwich St. and Broadway and makes the street one-way westbound. The eastbound M22 bus has been re-routed to Warren Street until completion of this construction project.

In transit news, due to Hurricane Sandy, there continues to be no service on the 1 line between Rector St. and South Ferry.
