Soho Burglaries
A resident of 111 Wooster St. between Spring and Prince Sts. told police that a burglar took a bag from her apartment sometime during the day, Fri. Oct 10. There was no sign of forced entry.
Thieves who may have remained hidden in a bar at 151 Mercer St. after closing time Friday morning Oct. 10 removed a safe with $7,000, police said. The front door was forced open from the inside, police said.
A burglar who broke into the back door of a Ralph Lauren shop at 381 Broadway near Broome St. around 1 a.m. Thurs, Oct. 10 and then forced open an office door made off with a pair of boots valued at $800, police said.
Bicycle thieves
Burglars broke into a bicycle shop at 417 Canal St. near Varick St. during the morning of Tues. Oct. 7 by pushing a rear window air conditioner into the shop, police said. The suspects took off with four bikes with a total value of $8,000, police said.
Office break-ins
A burglar entered an office at 205 Hudson St. near Desbrosses St. during the early morning of Fri. Oct. 10 and made off with two laptop computers, police said. In the Financial District, burglars force open the front door of an office at 80 Broad St. in the early morning of Wed. Oct. 8 and removed four laptop computers, police said.
House break
A residence at 140 Nassau St. near Beekman St. was the target of a burglar who pried open a window during the early hours of Fri. Oct. 10 and made off with electronic equipment, police said.
Mugged on Laight
Two robbers stopped Stephanie Seymour, a prominent fashion model, on Laight St. in Tribeca on Tuesday night Oct. 14 and told her “If you don’t want to get hurt, give us your bag.” She took her wallet out of the bag and told the suspects, “If you want money, take my wallet,” and handed it over, according to a New York Post report. The men fled with the wallet and an unspecified amount of cash.
