Some of the best of New York’s art, music and theater groups will be in Battery Park on Sat. – Sun., Sept. 20-21 from 11 a.m. until 5 p.m. Ninety-nine organizations will be participating in “CultureFest” sponspored by NYC & Co and the Merrill Lynch Foundation. Among the groups giving exhibitions and performances: New York City Ballet, Dance Theater of Harlem, the Bronx Zoo, New York Philharmonic and New York City Opera. One stage will be devoted exclusively to children’s performances. Also for kids: colonial children’s games; camouflage face painting by staff from the Intrepid; and hands on gardening with the New York Botanical Garden.
