Earth Day volunteers are V.I.P.’s

New York University held its 15th annual V.I.P. (Village Improvement Program) Day, in Washington Sq. Park on Thurs., April 24. Local school children joined N.Y.U. volunteers in cleaning and planting activities in the park in celebration of Earth Day. With the drought over, the park’s fountain was turned on, too.
