Protesters launch offensive against new recruiting center
A small group of protesters picketed outside the new U.S. Army recruiting center on Chambers St. on Dec. 30. They held signs objecting to the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan and read the names of fallen troops. Passersby mostly ignored the protesters, who were from the group World Can’t Wait.
