Came within a breath of death
In the early evening on Monday, a man collapsed from a drug overdose in front of the men’s room in Tompkins Square Park. A friend gave him mouth-to-mouth resuscitation to keep him alive until Fire Department emergency medical technicians and an ambulance arrived. With the help of the E.M.T.’s, he was able to get onto his feet and entered the ambulance.
