‘I have lived in the Village since 1956. I have read The Villager for all of those years and continue to read it every week. One of the Villager’s editor/reporters in the early years, Bill Honan, is a friend of mine and managed my campaign for the Assembly, thus starting me on my path to public office. The Village would not be the place that it is today — interesting, exciting and exotic — were it not for The Villager. A tree falling in the forest is not heard. The activities of the Village are known because The Villager brings them to public attention. Congratulations to The Villager on its 75th Anniversary. I look forward to celebrating your 100th anniversary.’
