‘I think what’s great about The Villager is it shows the grassroots and community levels — and its accuracy. Because The Villager spends more time on the story and its community, it’s usually more accurate about the street culture than other media that are reflective of the corporate culture. Whenever I read a story in The Villager it puts a smile on my face, because it’s funny — and accurate, too. The Villager covers the gamut, from a little thing like, say, a community garden to transportation, and it always leads to a bigger picture. Time’s Up!’s sustainable message cannot be delivered in a sound bite. The Villager takes the extra time to look into the story and really get into the issues — which educates people on both sides of the issue.’
